an Magnetotransduction Therapy machine used for Peyronie's Disease treatments

Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT®)

Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT) is a non-invasive treatment that has been specially developed for treating musculoskeletal (MSK) pain and other disorders and when combined with other technologies has been found to substantially improve men's sexual health problems – Erectile Dysfunction (ED), Peyronie's Disease and Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS).

If you have developed one of the above conditions, don't panic.

MansMatters offer a number of therapies including EMTT that can help you overcome this.

Cutting Edge Technology

This cutting-edge advanced equipment is now a core component of our treatment protocols. We use it in conjunction with our Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), NanoVi Exo and Functional Magnetic Stimulation (TESLA Chair). We have found that EMTT combined with these technologies is a ‘game changer' for many people struggling with chronic men's health conditions.

Damaged Cells Recover Faster with EMTT Treatment

Electromagnetic Transduction Therapy works on a microscopic cell level. An intense magnetic field reaches the endothelial cells within the millions of blood vessels in the penis. These cells produce energy, transfer nutrients and aid in cell regeneration while promoting your overall environment to enable faster healing and the recovery of sexual function to normal levels.

The CE-approved, Magnetolith EMTT is capable of generating a wide range of frequencies at varying levels of power. This allows us to set precise adjustments most suitable for your condition.

What Happens During EMTT Treatment?

You will find that treatment is fast and comfortable and completely pain free on the penis, direct skin contact is not necessary.

The loop of the EMMT applicator – shown in the image on the right – is placed directly above the penis and the clinician giving you the treatment will adjust the level of the mechanical stimuli so that you are comfortable and receive the optimum level of stimulation.

Treatment is usually repeated up to six times over a number of weeks depending on your condition and the advice of our specialists.

Clinical Research

A study done by Zablotskii et al (2016)* discusses how various mechanical stimuli exerted on cells induce changes in plasma membrane tension, eliciting Piezo channel opening. The resulting cation influx can trigger sensory neuron firing or activation of intracellular calcium signaling pathways such as adenosine triphosphate/nitric oxide (ATP/NO) release by endothelial cells.

This indicates beneficial effects for Erectile Dysfunction sufferers.

Frequently Asked Questions About EMTT Treatment

Is EMTT an Approved Therapy?

This technology was CE approved in March 2020 and we are one of a handful of UK Clinics able to offer this treatment.

The CE approval mark means that the manufacturer takes responsibility for the compliance of a product with all applicable European health, safety, performance, and environmental requirements. CE stands for “Conformité Européenne”.

What Clinical Research Has Been Undertaken into EMTT Treatment?

Researchers have shown its effectiveness in speeding up healing of tendons, nerves, bone, and other problems and treatment can be further enhanced when combined with shockwave therapy.

The effectiveness of EMTT has been successfully proven in several clinical studies.

Is EMMT Therapy Painful?

EMMT therapy is very safe and painless, well-tolerated, effective and with no negative side effects. It can be integrated with other therapies for the treatment of difficult to manage diseases and injuries.

How Many EMMT Treatments Will I Need?

The therapy is usually delivered in a course of treatments over a number of weeks. The number of sessions required will be discussed with you at the outset of the treatment, though this can change depending on how well you respond to the overall therapy.

What is the History of EMTT?

Electromagnetic fields were used by the Soviet Union to treat cosmonauts after spending extended periods of time in space and as a result suffered from a loss of muscle and bone density due to the lack of gravity and exercise.

To treat this, medical specialists used Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy to supplement pharmaceutical methods to regenerate bone density and combat bone loss. The success of this treatment led to the spread of PEMF therapy not just in the Soviet Union but throughout Eastern Europe as well.

In the USA, NASA then conducted its own research into the use of PEMF to stop bone loss, muscle atrophy and fatigue for Astronauts during and after space travel. In 2009 they filed for their own patent for the use of PEMF in tissue regeneration.

There is now a huge body of medical literature supporting its use and over 2,000 medical research studies have been published in support of the effectiveness in tissue repair. In the UK NICE NHS have documented its benefits.

In the USA the Food and Drug Administration have cleared It’s use by medical professionals to treat a range of conditions such as depression, non-union fractures, soft tissue pain and regeneration.

EMTT treatment uses those same electromagnetic fields to positively influence tissue to promote healing. But many of the PEMF machines do not have enough power to induce a power beyond the minimum threshold of 10?T and therefore they will not create any biological effects. EMTT works at a range of >100kHz.

The Magnetolith EMTT machine we use is able to achieve 18 oscillations before PEMF has achieved even half of one oscillation and the absolute field strength of EMTT is approximately 40% stronger than PEMF.

How Effective is EMTT in Treating ED?

EMTT is extremely effective in treating ED. We have successfully been able to treat thousands of ED patients from all around the world with the help of this modern therapy. Thanks to the EMTT therapy, men who came to us for the treatment of ED left our clinic with a smile on their face and an improved erectile function.

Can EMTT Be Useful in the Treatment of Peyronie’s Disease?

Yes. EMTT is a very useful treatment option for patients who are suffering from Peyronie’s Disease.

How Effective is Your EMTT in Treating PD?

Our EMTT is very effective in quickening the healing process of the penis and it has proven to be a very effective treatment for PD. We have successfully treated thousands of men suffering from PD with the help of EMTT therapy.

Can I have EMTT Alongside Your Other Therapies?

EMTT is fully compatible with our other treatment procedures such as shockwave therapy, NanoVi and Functional Magnetic Stimulation. The effectiveness of EMTT therapy is significantly increased when we provide this treatment in conjunction with shockwave therapy.
